Record sales again for 2007
In June 2006, when well on the way to achieving record sales levels for that year, Fruehauf Chairman Duncan Wordsworth announced that he wanted to achieve double the previous company’s tipper sales level of 350 trailers a year within 2 years.
Just 18 months later he has been able to announce that this ambitious target has already been achieved with sales totalling 700 and production exceeding 600 for the 12 months to December 2007. “This amazing success story is largely due to the efforts of a remarkable sales team and distribution network which has worked extremely hard throughout the year,” said a jubilant Duncan Wordsworth, before adding in typical fashion “but we now need to focus on how we can achieve the same dramatic success with rigid tippers without sacrificing the opportunity of making even further advances in the artic tipper market.”
